This qualitative descriptive study explored the experiences of home and community care nurse leaders in supervisory positions during the pandemic, and how this may have impacted their motivations and desire to remain in their leadership role.

Sonia Nizzer is a registered social worker and senior research associate & mental health research lead at VHA Home HealthCare. She is a qualitative researcher, and her work has recently focused on occupational health and psychological safety of home care workers, particularly during the global COVID-19 crisis. Most recently she has published a study on the COVID-19 pandemic shaped the working experiences of home care PSWs.
