Research and Education Awards

Each year the NLN.ON awards up to $8,500.00 in research scholarships and educational bursaries.

Currently enrolled in a graduate nursing program?  Apply for one of the education awards!

Do you know an amazing nursing leader who has been an inspiration and mentor? Noinate her/him for the Sue Matthews Exemplary Mentorship Award.

Have a great idea and need some seed money to get it going?  Apply for the Nursing Leadership Innovation Seed Grant.

We encourage all NLN members involved in research, continuing education or who have an innovative idea to try applying.

Dorothy Wylie Graduate Education Award: This award is for NLN.ON members who are studying on a full-time basis in a graduate program in nursing. The award is in the amount of $2,000.

 

Part-Time Education Award: This award is for NLN.ON members who are studying on a part-time basis in an undergraduate or graduate program in nursing or a related field. The award is in the amount of $1,000.

Nursing Leadership Network of Ontario Research Award: This award is for NLN.ON members who are currently leading a research study (e.g. student research in support of Master and Doctoral studies, or practice based research). The award is in the amount of $2,000.

Sue Matthews Exemplary Mentorship Award: This peer-nominated award is presented to an NLN.ON member who demonstrates exemplary mentorship in their practice. The award is in the amount of $1,000.

Nursing Leadership Innovation Seed Grant: This award is for NLN.ON members who are currently in a formal leadership role (e.g. Manager, Director role, etc.). The purpose of the grant is to support the introduction of a small-scale innovation/quality improvement project within your practice setting. The award is in the amount of $2,500.

Award winners are announced at the NLN.ON Annual meeting held in conjunction with the annual conference each year in March. Successful candidates will be asked to provide a 4”x 6” photo for display at the conference.
