Professional doctorate degrees in Nursing are novel in Canada and will bolster the professional development of nursing leaders across diverse health care and academic settings. In this presentation, speakers will share key lessons learned from the program evaluation of one Canadian professional doctorate program in Nursing.
Samantha Mayo, RN, PhD, FAAN, University of Toronto
Professor Samantha Mayo RN, PhD, FAAN is an Associate Professor in the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto. She also holds the RBC Financial Group Chair in Oncology Nursing Research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and leads a program of research focused on optimizing the long-term health and quality of life of people affected by cancer. At the University of Toronto, she is also the Director, Doctoral Programs, which includes both the PhD program and the Doctor of Nursing program.
