The effectiveness of leadership in team productivity and better patient outcomes

Mr. Light Bosah Chiotu works as an Advanced Practice Clinical Leader in the Complex Care and Recovery (CCR) program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Prior to this, he was a nurse educator and has worked in different psychiatric departments including the emergency room. He has a master’s degree in nursing, and he is a Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse.
Mr. Chiotu’s most recent research study: “Professional Quality of Life among CAMH Nurses during the COVID-19 Pandemic.” This research was presented at Sigma’s Creating Healthy Work Environments Conference in February 2023 and at the ICN Congress in 2023. He recently completed his second research study titled “Understanding the Physical and Psychological Impacts of Patient Violence on Emergency Psychiatric Nurses”.
He has received an Excellence in Nursing Research Award at CAMH and has been nominated and awarded other nursing and excellence awards during his nursing career.
