Recommendations included adopting standardized processes with the Safer Nursing Care Tool (SNCT) for equitable acuity distribution and implementing patient admission rotation to improve quality of care and job satisfaction.

Diana is an Advanced Practice Nurse with the Acute Care and Observer Resource Teams at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. In this capacity, she provides staff education rooted in evidence-based practice and drives practice improvements through quality improvement initiatives. Prior to this role, Diana mentored New Graduate Nurses, Internationally Educated Nurses, and Nursing Externs, offering guidance in career development, nursing education, and facilitating the transition to independent practice. Diana is currently pursuing a Master of Nursing degree with a focus on Teaching and Leadership at Athabasca University. She is passionate about advancing nursing practice and aims to integrate her learning to influence organizational policies and contribute to the ongoing development of the nursing profession.
