The Team Leader/Charge Nurse Workshop at CAMH is designed for RNs transitioning to charge nurse roles to enhance their leadership skills, build resilience and foster adaptability within their teams. This workshop draws from RNAO’s Conceptual Model for Developing and Sustaining Leadership that leverages the Transformational Leadership Practices framework.
Christina Osowski, RN, BScN, CPMHN(C), Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)
Christina Osowski completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). She started her career at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in 2017 as a New Graduate Nurse on the Early Psychosis Unit. Thereafter, she had the opportunity to gain further mental health and addiction experience as an RN on the General Psychiatry and Psychiatric Intensive Care Units and the Concurrent Youth Unit before transitioning to the Team Leader role on the Concurrent Youth Unit. Christina currently works as a Nurse Educator supporting the Psychosis Recovery and Treatment Units within the Complex Care and Recovery Program. In 2023, Christina obtained her Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing.
Kimberly Ranches, RN, BScN, CPMHN(C), Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)
Kimberly Ranches completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at York University. She started her career as an RN at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in 2018 with Geriatric Mental Health Services. At the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kimberly assumed the role as a Clinical Operations Coordination Leader where she was able to practice through the lens of a nursing leadership role. Kimberly currently works as a Nurse Educator supporting the Psychosis Recovery and Treatment Units within the Complex Care and Recovery Program. In 2023, Kimberly obtained her Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. At this time, Kimberly is completing her Master of Nursing at Athabasca University.
