P12: The Union of Ambulatory Care and Data: A Match Made in Heaven

This abstract makes the case for utilization of data in optimizing operational outcomes in ambulatory care which then has direct effect on hospital efficiencies, wait times and the ability to anticipate need and intervene in an adaptive manner with dynamic scheduling as required.

Mary Kay Tse joined the ambulatory team bringing her knowledge from her inpatient leadership experiences, namely discharge planning and Patient Flow. She has been an instrumental team player in the opening of the second site at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital and coordinating the IMS transfers during the COVID 19 pandemic. She is currently completing her Master of Nursing at Athabasca University with a focus in Leadership. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the driving range and doing activities with her children.
