Karlie DeAngelis, RN, BScN, MScN, CCN(c), Clinical Educator- Nursing, Team Training and Clinical Excellence (TTrACE) Academy, St. Michael’s Hospital, Unity Health Toronto
Karlie DeAngelis is a Clinical Nurse Educator in critical care at St. Michael’s Hospital. Prior to joining the TTrACE Academy team, she was the Clinical Nurse Educator for the CVICU and CICU at St. Michael’s Hospital. She holds a Masters of Nursing Science, publishing research on the nursing perspective during end-of-life care, and she has participated in several quality improvement initiatives as an educator. She continues to support the critical care teams clinically, with a strong interest in improving team functioning, emotional intelligence, psychological safety and trust. In her current role, is focused on the roll-out of the TTrACE Academy with St. Michael’s, ensuring smooth transitions and preparation for the pilot through to publication of this study. She is a member of the TTrACE Academy faculty, teaching courses in “advanced communication”, and “having difficult conversations”. She maintains oversight of the Academy as an educator, collaborating with the TTrACE founder and team lead, Kari White.
