Angie Lim, PhD, MN, BScN, BSc, SickKids Hospital
Angie Lim, RN, PhD, is a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Professional Practice and a Research Associate and Post-Doctoral Fellow in Child Health Evaluative Sciences at The Hospital for Sick Children. As a CNS, Angie champions evidence-based nursing practice by designing and implementing comprehensive organizational change management strategies. Her work supports key institutional priorities, including the prevention of workplace violence and catheter-associated urinary tract infections.
Angie holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from the University of Victoria, a Master of Nursing, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Toronto Metropolitan University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Toronto.
With 20 years of experience at SickKids, Angie has held various clinical and nursing leadership positions, beginning her career on 6A – Transplant and Medical Specialties. Her extensive collaboration with nurses, patients, families, and her roles in nursing education at local colleges and universities have endowed her with expertise in creating contextually relevant, learner-centred approaches to support change. Angie is dedicated to collaborating with patients, families, and interprofessional teams within complex healthcare environments to advance peadiatric care by enhancing communication and practices.
Sarah Kaufman is a dedicated healthcare leader with over a decade of nursing experience at The Hospital for Sick Children. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Waterloo.
Sarah’s career reflects a strong commitment to excellence in evidence-based nursing practice, education, and leadership. Beginning in the General Paediatrics Unit, she honed her clinical expertise and collaborative skills before advancing into leadership roles, including Team Lead and Quality and Process Improvement Specialist, where she focused on enhancing safety, process optimization, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to drive sustainable improvements in patient care and organizational practices.
Currently, as Professional Practice Lead for Comfort and Safety, Sarah works with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to enhance trauma-informed care through the innovative Comfort and Safety Bundle, a framework that prioritizes quality, equity, and safety in healthcare delivery.
