Donna Leybourne is a skilled registered nurse with over 30 years’ experience in the acute care hospital setting. Donna holds a Master’s degree in Business from James Cook University, where her primary focus is leadership and innovation. Donna is currently part of the regional electronic medical record project team for the Ontario Southeast region , where she works with a dynamic team to transform the patient experience utilizing an electronic medical record that promotes continuity of care through enhanced provider communication and collaboration . Donna is currently the past president of the Nursing Leadership Network having served as a board member for 7 years. She is also in the process of obtaining her certification as a Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems. Outside of work, Donna enjoys travelling and participates in several sporting activities such as curling, golf and skiing.
Janet Chee, RN, BScN, MN, PMP, Associate Director, Long-Term Care Best Practices Program, Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario
Janet Chee is the Associate Director for the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario Long-term care Best Practices Program whose aim is to support improved resident outcomes through the implementation of best practice. Janet has nine years of long-term care experience as a Director of Resident Care and Executive Director of a large 250-bed LTC home in Scarborough. Prior to Janet’s tenure in long-term care, Janet worked at RNAO as a Senior Program Manager in the International Affairs and Best Practice Guideline Program, developing guidelines and leading implementation projects. Janet also worked in the pharmaceutical industry and started her career in neonatal nursing. Janet has a Masters of Nursing Degree from the University of Toronto and a Project Management Professional Designation.
