B7: Refining Learning Design Practices for Practice-Based Educators: Implementing ADDIE Training to Support the Redevelopment of Clinical Orientation

The changing demographics in our Health Network impacted our practice-based educators, who orient and develop nursing and interprofessional staff. To support new and existing educators and establish standards to redevelop an existing clinical corporate orientation curriculum, we developed an orientation session and professional development activities to teach the ADDIE model.

Jennifer Reguindin, MScN, RN, GNC(C), CCNE, University Health Network
Jennifer Reguindin is the Manager of Professional Practice for Practice-Based Education and Collaborative Academic Practice Fellowship at UHN and is an experienced staff nurse in the areas of intensive care, cardiac and medical-surgical. She holds an Adjunct Lecturer status at the University of Toronto. Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ryerson University, her Master of Science in Nursing from York University, and is completing her Doctor of Education from Western University. She is certified in healthcare simulation, project management, learning design, and Lean Six Sigma. She is a credentialed Canadian Nurse Educator and Gerontological Nurse.
