To impart guidance on the nursing profession in Canada and prepare IENs for successful integration to the workplace, CARE Centre for IENs provides tailored programming and tailored learning experiences.
Rola El Moubadder, RN, MQM, CNE, Mentoring Program Lead, CARE Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses
Rola EL Moubadder has 25 years’ experience in healthcare quality, clinical informatics and nursing education. Rola held several positions as a professional education development consultant, professor assistant, facilitator and quality consultant in Canada and abroad. She is committed to supporting nurses nationally and internationally through mentoring, influencing policy and improving the quality of healthcare services; ensuring nurses are practicing in a safe, diverse, equitable and inclusive environment. Recently, Rola co-authored a book with over 300 authors: “Mentoring in Nursing through Narrative Stories Across the World.”. Her chapter, titled “Integration of Internationally Educated Nurses: Journey Through Globalization/Internationalization, Technology, and Mentoring” focused on the transition of IENs to the Canadian workplace through mentorship. Rola is recognized for being a passionate and inspirational nursing leader dedicated to serve the nursing profession.
Lourdes Vicente, RPN, Mentoring Team Lead and Case Manager, CARE Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses
Lourdes Vicente has a background in both Practical Nursing and Career and Work Counselling. She has 15+ years’ work experience supporting Internationally Educated Nurses. She’s a full-time case manager and an Observational Job Shadowing Program Lead where she coordinates observational placement for CARE Centre members to job shadow expert nurses in various workplace settings. She is an experienced Employment Strategies workshop facilitator who enjoys supporting IENs to successfully pursue their nursing careers in Ontario.
