B2: Enhancing Continuing Education in the Intensive Care Unit Using a Simulation-Based Education Program: The Critical Care Mobile Skills and Simulation Cart (CC-MSSC)

The abstract outlines the development, implementation and evaluation of the Critical Care Mobile Skills and Simulation Cart (CC-MSSC) to enhance continuing education for ICU nurses at The Ottawa Hospital. This project aims to improve ICU nurses’ skills, knowledge and satisfaction through simulation-based education using a mobile cart.

Nicole is a Registered Nurse at The Ottawa Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit. She completed an Advanced Clinical Practice Fellowship through the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario, focused on using simulation to enhance continuing education in critical care. She has also held additional roles in Nursing Education and Nursing Professional Practice at the Ottawa Hospital.
