Each year the NLN.ON awards up to $7,500.00 in research scholarships and educational bursaries.
Are you an NLN.ON member currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate nursing program? Apply for one of the education awards!
Do you know an amazing nursing leader who has been an inspiration and mentor? Nominate them for the Sue Matthews Exemplary Mentorship Award.
Have a great idea and need some seed money to get it going? Apply for one of the Nursing Leadership Research & Innovation Seed Grants.
We encourage all NLN.ON members involved in research, continuing education or who have an innovative idea to apply for our awards.

**Must be a current NLN.ON member for at least 1 year as of March 2025**

Dorothy Wylie Graduate Education Awards APPLY | NLN.ON members interested in leadership and studying on a full-time basis in a graduate program in nursing. Two awards to be given, (1) awarded to a student in the Master’s program and (1) awarded to a student in the Doctoral program. Each award will be in the amount of $1000. | $1,000 |
| Undergraduate Education Award APPLY | This award is for NLN.ON members who are interested in leadership and studying in an undergraduate program in nursing. | $1,000 |
| Nursing Leadership Network of Ontario Research Award APPLY | This award is for NLN.ON members who are currently leading a nursing leadership related research study (e.g. student research in support of Master and Doctoral studies, or practice based research). | $2,000 |
| Nursing Leadership Research & Innovation Seed Grants APPLY | These awards are for NLN.ON members who are currently in a formal leadership role (e.g. Manager, Director role, CNS, APN, Professional Practice Leader, etc.). The purpose of these grants is to support the introduction of a small-scale innovation/quality improvement project within your practice setting. | $1,000 |
| Conference Travel Grant APPLY | This award is for NLN.ON members attending conferences that advance knowledge, leadership capacity and professional practice. The grant may be used to offset registration fee, travel, or accommodation costs. | $ 500 |
| Sue Matthews Exemplary Mentorship Award APPLY | This peer-nominated award is presented to an NLN.ON member who demonstrates exemplary mentorship in their clinical practice, leadership, or education roles | Plaque |
