New Katie ChampmanKatie Chapman

Katie is a Registered Nurse and Lactation Consultant, studying to be a Nurse Practitioner, working at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Katie is passionate about providing holistic, family-centred, compassionate nursing care to infants, children and families in both acute and primary care settings. Katie is also honoured to be part of the WHO’s Baby-Friendly Hospitals Initiative, which aims to promote successful breastfeeding and improved maternal and infant health outcomes worldwide.

   

Undergraduate Nursing Education Award

Lale TunerLalezar Tuner

Lalezar is a 2nd year student at Seneca/York Collaborative BScN program. Lalezar developed a passion for oncology nursing, initially after discovering the use of nuclear sciences in cancer treatment. She is planning to become an oncology nurse and conduct research to publish best practice guidelines. Lalezar is an avid reader, artist of eight years, and loves to acquire knowledge from different disciplines. She usually allocates her free time between painting, reading, and volunteering.

   

Nursing Leadership Innovation Seed Grant 

New SarabethSarabeth Silver

Sarabeth is a nursing leader with a passion for change, innovation and mentorship.  Sarabeth has over six years of experience focused on the surgical oncology population in pre/post-operative care and chemotherapy administration.  Currently she practices as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Mount Sinai Hospital, as well as an Administrator On-Site at Toronto Western Hospital.
