Mentorship is a mutually beneficial long-term relationship between an experienced nurse and a less experienced nurse, where expertise and knowledge are transferred, support and guidance are provided, and personal development and career advancement are encouraged. Utilizing an authentic leadership framework to train mentors positively influences trust, healthier work environments, reduced workplace bullying, organizational culture, and attrition rates.
